Joan M. MacArthur (nee Yanz), 71 years old of Elk Grove Village, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and four children February 2 in her home. Born in Chicago to Victor and Viola Yanz, Joan was the beloved wife of James D. for 48 years, loving mother of Kristin N. (John) Bailitz, Michelle L. (Brian) Aprati, Andrew J. (Emily) MacArthur and Lauren J. MacArthur; dear sister of Sister MaryAnne Yanz (O.P.), John A. (Eileen) Yanz, Richard C. (Ellen) Yanz, Donna T. (Robert) Frasor. She was the cherished “Nana” of Meegan G. Bailitz, Brady V. Bailitz, Kathyrn C. Bailitz, Luke S. Bailitz, Skylar M. Aprati, Kendelle R. Aprati, Noelle L. Aprati, Kellsey R. Aprati, Isabella G. Aprati, Avery B. MacArthur, Graham J. MacArthur and Violet S. MacArthur. Joan was a Eucharistic Minister of Communion at Queen of the Rosary Parish as well as a member of the Bereavement Committee. She was a registered nurse having graduated from Loyola University of Chicago’s Nursing school with a BSN. She worked as a geriatric nurse before becoming a school nurse at Palatine District 15’s Winston Campus from where she retired after 15 years. Her visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 3pm-9pm at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Hts. Rd., Elk Grove Village. On Thursday there will be a gathering at the funeral home from 9am until the time of chapel prayers at 9:30am followed by a 10am Mass at Queen of the Rosary Church, 750 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village. Interment will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery – Palatine. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Great-grandmother of Jenna, Frankie, Nathan, Natalie, Levi, Noah, Robby and Charlie. Dear sister of Edward "Butchie" (Diane) Tomayer and the late Dennis Tomayer. Kenneth E. Krzywicki

Kenneth E. Krzywicki, 77, of Elk Grove Village, IL., passed away January 18, 2020, at Hospice of the Valley in Glendale, AZ. A loving and protective husband and father, Ken is survived by his wife, Joanna; son, Ken (Carol), daughter, Karolyn (Lance), sister, Sandy Carey. He was a super grandfather to Michael, Genevieve, and Oleg; uncle to Jeff, Scott, and Todd and cousin to many. Ken was a retired Elk Grove Police Sergeant, a graduate of The School of Police Staff and Command, Northwestern University Traffic Institute and an active member of SARC ham radio organization, Schaumburg. He enjoyed spending time with family, his Harley, bowling, bocci ball, crossword puzzles and watching the Bears and Blackhawks. He fought a valiant fight for 30 years and kept a positive attitude throughout. A Memorial Service will be held at Grove Memorial Chapel at a later date to be announced. THERESE LENOCI-Bensenville- A Celebration of Life will be held for Therese “Jill” Lenoci, age 85, who passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020. Visitation will be at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village from 4 PM-7 PM on January 24, 2019. Family and friends are asked to meet Saturday, January 25, 2019, 9:15 AM at Queen of Heaven Cemetery office 1440 S. Wolf Road, Hillside IL for Service of Interment at 9:30AM. Born July 8, 1934 in Chicago, Jill was a long-time resident of Bensenville and a devout member of St.Alexis Catholic Church. She leaves behind her children, Nick (Julie) Lenoci Jr. and Joe (Cathy) Lenoci; son-in-law, John Leno (Michelle); grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Carsyn, Cassidy, Zach, Alexa, Kaleb, Noah, as well as extended family and friends. Jill is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Nick Lenoci Sr. and two children, Jeannine Lenoci-Leno and Nicole Lenoci. Mary D. Fuentes, age 78, passed away peacefully at Symphony of Hanover Park on Monday, January 20, 2020, where she resided for 3 years. Mary was the beloved mother of Marlene L. (Sunny) Aftab, and the cherished grandmother of Kamran Aftab. Dear sister of Gloria (Mark) McGaughey, the late Louis and the late Anthony (surviving spouse Judy) DiFonzo. Mary also leaves her loving nieces and nephews; Mark (Niti), Michael (Ruthie), Cathy (Michael), and Tami (Brian). The family wishes to extend a heartfelt Thank You to all the caring staff at Symphony of Hanover Park and of JourneyCare Hospice who cared for her until her last day. Mrs. Bartfay worked for Grand Prairie Transit for 3 years as a school bus driver. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 23 years, Paul J. Bartfay and her loving children Bryant T. and Samantha M. Bartfay. She was the dear daughter of Thomas E. (the late Patricia) Jarvis III, daughter in law of Rosalie (the late Joseph) Bartfay, cherished sister of Ellen (the late Steven) Baribeau, Thomas E. We are saddened to let you know that Deborah Leithe McQuaid, age 74, passed away on January 7, 2020 at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence after a several-year valiant battle with cancer. She was born on May 18, 1945 in Chicago, was raised in Chicago, and was predeceased by her parents. Deborah had a successful career in the label-printing business and later as a townhome property manager, forming lasting close friendships with many vendors and coworkers. She was best known and loved for being an incredible friend to many people all across the country, always helping when she was needed. Deborah also was a stellar steward of the donated kidney, "Skeezix," she received from a dear friend in 2006. Despite the too-early deaths of her beloved only child, David Leithe, in 2005 and her dearest husbands, Deborah always maintained a positive attitude and a love for life. She will be deeply missed by her many friends and extended family members. Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 11 from 3pm-9pm at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Hts. Rd. Elk Grove Village. Memorial contributions can be made to smallpawsrescue.org, bestfirends.org, National Kidney Foundatio (kidney.org) or to the American Cancer Society appreciated.
