Edward S. Pietrucha

Edward S. Pietrucha, age 94, 25 year resident of Arlington Heights, IL passed away December 19, 2019. A Purple Heart recipient and WWII Air Force veteran, Ed spent the final chapter of his life being looked after by the wonderful staff at The Moorings, and under the incredible care of Dr. Lim, whose kindness and expertise contributed immeasurably to Ed’s prolonged life. Ed was also a senior reader for school children for 8 years. Loving grandfather and great grandfather, Ed revered his role at the last surviving brother of our large family. He was the beloved husband of the late Loretta Pietrucha nee Adamkiewicz (2014), loving father to Gail L. (Dr. Mark) Skowron, and Gary E. (Jan) Pietrucha, cherished grandfather of Craig P., Ryan (Hollis) Summerfelt, Lauren (Ryan) Lawson, Michelle (Nick) Manzella, Alexis Skowron and great grandfather to Andrew. Beloved brother of the late Stanley (late Toni) Pietrucha, the late Joseph Pietrucha, the late Helen (late Frank) Prorok, the late Walter (late Mary) Pietrucha, Jean (late Paul) Matuszak, Bernice (late Bill) Belmont, the late Irene (late Frank) Wagner, Lottie (Fred) Cnota, the late Mary Ann (late Ray) Wagner, Theresa (Raymond) Hartleben, the late Eleanor (late Joseph) Piszyk and dear uncle of more than 40. Visitation Thursday, Dec. 26 from 8:30am until the time of service at 11:30am at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village, IL. Dolores A. Grams (nee Volkmar), 93, a 10 year resident of Elk Grove Village passed away December 15th at Bella Terra Nursing Home. Dolores was a ret. 20 year Nursing Assistant at Resurrection Hospital, Chicago and member of Sheila Ray Senior Ctr. and the VFW Auxiliary. She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence J. (1972); loving mother of Ronald E. (Patricia), William C. (Pat), and Barbara M. (Jim) Carbone; dear sister of Gerald (late Doris) Volkmar, the late Marguerite (late John), Tyler, the late Bill (late Bernice) Volkmar, the late Marie (late Wally) Erlinghagen, and the late baby Edwin; cherished grandmother of Scott, Kevin, Jimmy, and Vinny. She also leaves many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be held Friday, December 20, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Edward F. Morris, 83, a resident of Elk Grove Village for 52 years. Black Hills born & bred, he passed away on December 17, 2019. Edward graduated from the University of Wyoming and retired from United Airlines after 35 years. He was a loving husband, amazing father, garden railroad enthusiast, a loyal Notre Dame fan, an avid baker and Meals on Wheels volunteer. He served as CCD teacher, Lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Julian Eymard Church. Edward was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (2018); loving father of Teresa A. Morris, Kathleen L. Whitman and Jennifer L. Morris and the cherished grandfather of Kacie L. And Dayton F. Whitman. Visitation Sunday, December 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village. Closing prayers Monday, December 23 at 9:30 a.m. proceeding to St. Julian Eymard Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment at All Saints Cemetery. Edward Lee Tyrcha, 62, a resident of Roselle for 23 years passed away December 14th at Resurrection Hospital, Chicago. Ed was a Navy veteran and a 27 year employee of the Medinah Country Club. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (nee Zywarska) for 20 years; loving stepfather of Steve (Stacey), Robert, and Samantha; cherished son of Beverly and the late Donald Tyrcha; devoted brother of Alan (Trish) Tyrcha, Phyllis (Alfred) Marsh, Donna (Ken) Jaap, Jeffrey (Paula) Tyrcha; dear step-grandfather of Eric and James; loving uncle of Aleah, Amanda, Natalie (Vic), Stephanie (Carl), Samuel, Daniel, and Rosemary; great uncle to Madeline, Daphne, and Nicholas. J. Allen Mergens

John A. “Capt. Al” Mergens, 84, of Elk Grove Village for over 60 years. Born in Chicago, he peacefully passed away on December 7th at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Al was the beloved husband of the late Celine M. (2018) for 60 years and the loving father of Allen J. (Nancy), James L. (MaryBeth), and Robin A. (Anthony) Fabisiak. He was the cherished grandfather of Daniel Mergens, Kelly (Nick) Hildebrandt, Meaghan (Aaron) Sanfillippo, Adam (Colleen) and Scott (Andrea) Mergens, Sarah Fabisiak and proud great granddad of Brady Nicholas and Melanie Grace Hildebrandt. Al is survived by 4 siblings; Marilyn Gliniecki, Robert (Dorothy) Mergens, Donald (Diane) Mergens, and Susan (John) Renner. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Anna. Al was a Coast Guard veteran who joined the Elk Grove Village Fire Department in 1960 and became the village’s first Fire Chief. He retired as Captain in 1999. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, from 3 to 9 P.M. at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village. Chapel prayers Friday, 10 A.M. followed by an 11 A.M. Alan K. Eurich, 82, a resident of Elk Grove Village for 54 years, passed away at his home on December 3, 2019. Alan was an Army veteran and a retired Superintendent with Robert R. Anderson Co. where he worked for 34 years. He was the beloved husband of the late Elaine M. Eurich (nee Sager, 2010), devoted and caring father of Linda (Jerry) Campbell and Diane M. Yakes, loving grandfather of Ian and Ryan Campbell, Sean and Jenna Yakes, and dear brother of Marlene (Jerry) Bader and the late Robert (Pat) Eurich. Alan enjoyed spending time in Florida with his wife, fishing, golfing with his brother, and being with his cherished grandchildren. Bruce A. Blount of Calvert County, MD and formerly of Elk Grove Village. Bruce passed away Nov. 27th peacefully in Elk Grove Village and was a retired Navy Veteran. He was the loving dad of Anastasia (Jett) Meenach and an expected grandfather of Jett Jr.; beloved son of Wayne and Jean Blount; dear brother of Lisa (Scott) Spjuth and uncle to Justin and Shelby. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 7th from 2pm-7pm at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Hts. Rd. Elk Grove Village, IL. with a service at 6pm. Jerome (Jerry) James Sacheck, 90, passed away on November 27, 2019. He leaves Lorraine, his wife of 69 years, and five children, Norine (David) Rosen, Lynn Michalak, Elizabeth (Norm) Alexander, Randy (Barb) Sacheck and Neal Sacheck; five grandchildren, Philip (Sharla) Rosen, Ellyn Michalak, Lesley LaVine, Lauren Michalak and Grace Alexander; and brother Irwin; he was preceded in death by his brother George. Visitation will be at Grove Memorial Chapel in Elk Grove Village on Monday, Dec 2, from 2-8 pm, and Funeral Mass at St Julian Eymard Church, 601 Biesterfield Rd. Elk Grove Village on Tuesday, Dec 3 at 10:30 am.

Dylan Joseph Nailor, 21 years old, of Schaumburg, IL., died on November 24th, 2019. He is survived by his parents, Patty and Bruce Nailor, brother Brandon and sister Megan, his grandma, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and dogs, Koda and Amber. He enjoyed playing the game of hockey as he was a natural on Skates. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will truly be missed every day! A visitation will be held Friday, November 29, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel. A chapel service will be held Saturday, November 30th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

Phyllis was the loving wife of the late David M. Clarke (2017); loving mother of Henry F. (Laura), Paul M. (Meg) and the late David M. Clarker Jr. (2006); cherished “Nana” of Taylor M. and Baret B.
